Mycomport has developed a new generation in Internet Networking Software which will enable the development of complex portal relationships.
The portal market has been hotly contended by a broad range of companies in the pursuit of large untapped profitability. However there have been several key problems associated with developing the portal market. Major problems have included the development of local content and general usage adoption. New technology and business models developed by Mycomport offer a solution that resolves many of these problems.
The technology provides the mechanism for not only developing portals but enabling the combination of individual portals into "cluster relationships with central hubs". Business, governement and community organisations can develop and take part in complex communication, e-commerce and marketplace relationships using interactive Mycomport portal technology. The Mycomport portal technology provides many features and benefits currently sought after by portal developers and users alike but not available in existing products.
The community Portal solution has been thoroughly Beta-tested by thousands of users over the past two years and has been tested and debugged. The company is currently in the process of commissioning third party verification of the software. The system is currently in use in 12 separate regional projects. The communities involved range in size from a township portal of 10,000 to a regional group of portals with a population exceeding 150,000.
Successful portal ventures using the Mycomport Community Portals have been established in the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, Moree and Bendigo. The Mid-North Coast portal project 'coastcall' encompasses 9 shires and 47 communities. This project operates in collaboration with the Mid-North Coast Economic Development Board and the southern Cross University. One key measure of its success in this region is that approximetely 1000 businesses have now independently registered on the exchange, with over 10 new business registering daily. Discussions are currently underway with other Australian regions.
Zonta International (district 24) has implemented the system in Australia, and there is current interest by the headquarters of Zonta International (Chicago, USA) to implement the exhchanges throughout their entire global network, encompassing in excess of 33,000 members in 72 nations.
Testimonials have been recieved from the District Govenor of Zonta International and Geoff Beggs, Project Manager Coastcall Project, Mid-North Coast.
Mycomport plans to build on its success in the community portal feild to become a significant player in the emerging Corporate and Supply Chain Portal Market.
